Meghan Shanfelter graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2011.  While at Penn State, Meghan studied Broadcast Journalism/Communication and minored in Kinesiology.  During her four years, she gained a great deal of experience in broadcast  journalism and strategic communications.  Meghan has always been involved with sports and hopes to continue to be involved with sports throughout her career.  She was a student in the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism while at Penn State.  During her time at Penn State Meghan dedicate three years to being the manager/volunteer assistant coach of the varsity Women's Gymnastics team.  In the future, she hopes to work with a major sports organization or planning/PR agency working on events and campaigns for these organizations of personal clients. In 2012 she worked at Medinah Country Club as the tournament assistant and at the PGA Ryder Cup offices as the special events assistant. She is aspiring to find a career in the sports event management field.
